As the creative force behind Craftmen Studio, Varun Tandon has spent over a decade shaping interiors that are equal parts expressive and elegant. With a background from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Design, his design journey began with a fascination for how space can shape emotion, movement, and daily rituals.

While his roots lie in crafting high-end interiors, it was a natural evolution for Varun to channel that vision into XII Thirteen, where his love for form, texture, and subtle storytelling finds its most tangible expression — in furniture. At XII Thirteen, he leads the creative direction with a signature style that is understated yet impactful, refined yet deeply personal.

PAWAN POPTANI

As Co-Founder and Director of Craftmen Studio, Pawan Poptani has always been the one to turn ideas into form. With a design background from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Design, his approach balances artistic intent with technical mastery — the kind that transforms vision into something you can touch, feel, and live with.

It was this instinct for precision and passion for making that led him to co-create XII Thirteen, the furniture arm of Craftmen Studio. Here, Pawan oversees the craftsmanship and build of each piece — from raw materials to refined finishes — ensuring that every design isn’t just beautiful, but also enduring.
